It's a Soap

It's got deceit, betrayal, plotting and planning. Stepsisters, ex-husbands, friends-turned-lovers, gay son, drug-pushing daughter.

That's how you know it's a soap. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

I've spent the last 6 hours or so watching TV programmes on the computer.

I - The Big Bang Theory for a little pre-programathon warm up:

(Four clever if somewhat socially-lacking guys + one hot girl neighbour)

II - On to a regular-length series with a little humour and sleuthing to get the blood pumping:

(Hot female detective + ego-filled mystery writer with a crush on her)

III - Then for some spy action:

(The accidental spy + hot spy chick = romantic engagements)

IV - Now it's time to tone down the laughs and bring on the serious stuff:

(OK - 2 brothers after the same girl - what more can I say)

V - After that deep stuff, something totally different:

(A whole bunch of crazy talented kids + singing and dancing)

VI - Finally, 2 episodes (back to back) of my favourite soap:

(See below)

And why do I call it a soap? So this woman's married umpety-thumpety times, has cancer, doesn't tell her latest husband, runs off to be treated by one of her exes, now he's back in town and declares in a public speech that he regrets leaving; meanwhile new husband's daughter is plotting and scheming to break up step-sister and boyfriend so she can have the hot hot hot Chace Crawford to herself; new husband  himself is busy plotting and succeeding in keeping ex out of the building (yes, he was planning to buy an apartment in their building) AND discovers that daughter was dealing drugs; and there's so much more - sex and scandal, soppy, mushy talk, parties and galas; everyone's misunderstood, there are a million and one connections between anyone and everyone and then some.... oooh simply GLORIOUS!

No one ever told me staying in to watch TV could be so fulfilling!
